It dawned on me that this is really a new situation different from the last post. The phone system is setup so that only the Main set rings. I tried to copy Main's setup to other phones. After I did that it turned out that copying Main to other sets caused the problems mentioned in my last post. What I am really trying to accomplish is making other head sets on the phone system ring. How is this done? Thanks,

Marc

Just use SCR or MCR in stead of SCN or MCN on the key

SCR or MCR ?
SCN or MCN ?

I haven't played the acronym game in a long time. This phone system I pretty much walked in on cold.

Can you please explain what you mean by SCR or MCR,
SCN or MCN, and how they are changed from one function to another. Thanks for the help.

This has been one of the most frustrating systems to work with that I have ever come across. If anyone can explain how other phones besides main on a Norstar Plus Modular ICS NT7B53 can made to ring, I would be one overjoyed person. Might you need more information, I am happy to give it.

There is another forum - Nortel: Norstar Systems

You may get more help there.

Try ANSWER DN, go to the sets you want to ring under line access. Then program the answer dn for that set with the reception's extension to appear and ring.

The answer DN thing will work but be advised that ALL CALLS that ring on the "Main" phone, including intercom calls will ring at all appearances of the ANS DN.
