I would like to find a script to kill a process IF THE PROCESS IS RUNNING.

This process of canceling a running program prevents me from having
to reboot my user's workstation.

Thanks for any help

Tom,

Why don't you visit and have a look at the PSTools suite. A freeware collection of tools, one of which is called pskill. This little utility will allow you to stop any process by name or by process ID. I use it myself, as a scheduled task to run at specific times.
Works like a charm for me.
