[Macola Progression 7.6.400 and SQL2000]
First of all I know it's a VERY old version but for many reasons this is where we are... ECI maintenance/support are current and I'm attempting to update Progression 7.6.400 to 7.9.350 with their help but I'm missing an important intermediate update release that ECI tells me they cannot seem to find anywhere in their archives. They found and provided 7700INST6302008.zip which is the full installer but I believe I need the update version of this installer rather than the full installer. ECI was able to provide many other updates (7.7.300, 7.7.600, 7.8.900 to current) but cannot find the 7.7 updater which appears to be required to move from 7.6.400. Does anyone have access to the 7.7.000 update or know of a method to use the full 7.7. install to update a 7.6.400 version on sql2000? (FYI, I know I have more steps to this update such as restoring to sql2008r2 and bumping the compatibility level to 100 and so on as this will ultimately move all the way to sql2022 and 7.9.350.) At this time it just looks like I need the 7.7 to continue.

SQL 2000? Are you serious?

If you upgrade to a newer version of SQL I can help you. Please, please tell me you are not running SQL 2000.

LOL, I wish I could! VM's and isolation. I figured someone must still have an old 7.7 update DVD or ISO stuck in a software archive somewhere. FWIW, Macola 7.6.400 has been absolutely solid for us even with Windows 11 clients.

I'm happy to report that I've left the year 2000 in the past where it should be. I was able to upgrade from 7.6.400 to 7.9.350 without the 7.7 upgrade ISO. Having to figure it all out by myself was not fun but at least ECI had some knowledge base articles from the 2008 era still on their portal. It's a bit more complicated but when you have no choice you find a way. The migration ended up taking about 7 hours to complete and would be faster a second time. Thank goodness for virtual machines and unlimited snapshots. I tried to write down my steps from memory if anyone else is unfortunate enough to get this task. Hopefully we are the last Progression users to ever need to know but...
