I am placing a remote i2002 ip phone that is behind a firewall.

What ports do I need to open on the firewall to ensure correct signaling and talk paths?

Remote location i2002 --> Firewall --> MPLS --> Main Location Firewall --> Main Location Router --> Nortel Signaling Server/Other IP & TDM phones

you would figure that out by watching a phone and seeing which port it is trying to use. Can you monitor your switch/router?

The phone is not in place yet. Goes into production Thursday. I know I could figure it out by sniffing traffic or by scouring NTP's, but I was hoping someone already had the knowledge readily available to share. If not, then I'll manage on my own, it will just take more time.

I know there are several people in here who probably set phones in this scenario regularly and could rattle port numbers in their sleep.

sorry, thought it might be arbitrary depending on setup. CS1000E - ports 4100 and 4300

I know the 4100 port, I'm curious as to what else needs to be open, if anything, for talk path and/or signaling.

My Nortel Rep sent me this nice spreadsheet, so I thought I'd share:

Hi Pal, it will be helpful and easy to read if you paste here in excel form or as an attachment.
