I need to reconfigure Meridian Mail on an Option 11c. I can get into the Meridian Mail, but need to know how to configure the F1 to F5 option keys. The F5 key is the only key that I can get the key code for: ^[[21~

I need help to figure out what F1, F2, F3 and F4 are?

Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks!

If you are using a VT100 Terminal, just use F6 thru F10. The keys are ^[[17~ thru ^[[21~. If you're using Procomm, search the net for the NORTEL.KBD file. It has the enhanced F keys in it that remap F1 thru F5. Either way...

Hi guys,

I really appreciate your help. Am a new Tek-tips user and am impressed by the dedication and quick response.

I am using Powerterm, will be working on this system later today and will let you know what I come up with.

Thanks again.

Thank you again for the help with the function keys mapping:
F1 ^[[17~
F2 ^[[18~
F3 ^[[19~
F4 ^[[20~
F5 ^[[21~

I tried all sorts of configurations on mapping the function keys in Powerterm. I have plugged the above into the Powerterm function keys: just the code (nothing before or after), with the text embedded within send <> (i.e. send <^[[17~>, etc. but to no avail.

I contacted Powerterm today for help in key mapping. I mentioned to their support that the function keys work in Procomm. Powerterm support is sending me a capture program called GW.

Once I get the GW program, I am hoping that I can somehwo attach it to this thread. Would one of you be able to help with capturing what is being sent while hitting each of the F1 to F5 keys while using Procomm? This way, I can then send the capture back to Powerterm, so they can then give me what needs to be programmed into their F1 to F5 keys.

Thanks,

Joe
