Hello, I have never set up a phone system before and am need of help on setting one up. The system has 3 lines and 5 extensions, although the 5th is connected directly to the partner system. I tried to initialize the system, but when i try to dial intercom 777 i get a busy signal... also is there a way to tell if we have a partner control unit, primary carrier or expansion carrier? thanks, i know this is a lot but i have no clue what im doing...

Ok some more specifics, Its a partner ACS R1.1.1 C01 with a partner mail vs voice messaging system. I think its a Partner II expansion carrier by itself, and the ACS is in the middle slot and the vs in slot 1. I have the vs extensions set to 38 and 39, and intercom 777 is giving a busy signal, pls help!

Okay, it seems the hunt voice mail extentions are off, now intercom 777 works, but the vs system does not pick up, what do i do now? thanks in advance

If it is a 2 port VS the correct extensions assigned to hunt group 7 would be 22 and 23. Make sure their are no other extensions assigned to the hunt group. After setting the extensions up, dial them directly to see if the VS answers.
