My company is having a Corp retreat next week Monday.

Code:
My boss want me to write a few sentences providing some
information about myself that no one knows about you - might involve hobbies, an interesting prior job, an accomplishment or community involvement they might not be aware of, a life event that might be interesting or surprise them.

Then they will put these slips of paper together, share them, and try to guess who they fit-just a nice "ice breaker" that is usually a lot of fun.
No more than 3-4 sentences.

Need some ideas on how to start. I can write something but how to consolidate in 3-4 sentences..thats the hard part.

Any ideas or tips anyone could share would be really helpful atleast to get me a jump start.

Appreciate in advance..

Nissan..:)

When I'm not at the office I am found ...{insert favorite hangout/activity here}...

How about putting some humor into it? We could have fun with this one, but you don't want to embarrass yourself either, and we don't know you at all.

Maybe something your close friends know about you, a standing joke that you don't mind sharing, or something about your geeky junior high days.

Sounds like fun though.

I would pick the thing I wanted to disclose and start by writing down all the information (even if it's 6 or 8 or 10 sentences), then edit it and modify it until it's within the guidelines and still says what you want to communicate to the others.

I would probably expose my birdwatching activities. Most of the people I work with (over 300) all know that I like to read, everyone sees me walking around with my books! But only a very few people know about the birdwatching.

Why not have some real fun and make up some outrageous stuff.

Like you once had to spend the night in a jail cell in Thailand.

You won the use of a Porche for a weekend in Vegas from a Radio promotion

Bill Clinton is your third cousin.

Just having fun with ya!! I would agree with the above postings.

Err, that's a bad idea. Sounds like fun, but some (idiot) would take it seriously, and you'd be known as the Thai jail-bird forever afterwards.

Whatever you choose, make sure it's something politically correct. Safe subjects: Golf, your children, working around the house, working on vintage cars.

You are cracking me up..
I did catch on a silly situation I did when I was in college..
Of course I had to narrow it down to 5 lines...but here is the full version
Ok here it goes..

" I was on my way back from the University for summer break..
Now I had to drive (when I could have flown)...from California to Atlanta...thats 2500+ miles...in my Ford Bronco...4x4
Heheh..silly me..I passed cali, arizona..and was passing TX...when I ran out of gas at 12.30pm and the next gas station is 5 miles...and yes its dark..I had to push the car to station (took me an hour)...
finally when I starting pumping gas..bunch of locals arrived as well(drunk)..and started looking at me..
And ofcourse I dont look local..
They start picking on me...and calling names..
I am freaking out...so in hurry..I forget to get the pump out of the car..and start driving..
The pump breaks of..and these guys are chasing me...on the interstate..
Bronco is flying....I would say 120mph +...
We get 3 State Troopers chasing up....
This goes on for 30 miles..
Finally I get a ticket for $500 and bill for breaking the pump..."

You pushed a car for 5 miles in just one hour? Most people would struggle to walk 5 miles in an hour. :)
