I just failed the ccna.

On the simulation questions where you have to configure 3 routers, I would click on one of them, and get the terminal window, but then I couldn't move the window or close it to get to another router!

How do you do this. I'm pissed.

Don't know yet if this will help but HOW2PASS.COM is designed to familiarize you with the formatting of questions

You need to read the instructions to the left of the sim window. You navigate through clicking on the computer icon that is currently up on the screen. I am aware of the sim that you are talking about, and at first it may seem tricky. Just remember that it works just as a regular router would...(hint: telnet) For examples try here:

Hope this helps and post here if you need anything else.

Thanks. The cisco link says to get back to the main screen click the "show topology" button, but I dont remember seeing that button.

On one of the questions I did try telneting to another router, but the routers didn't have conectivity, thats what I was suppose to fix.

Greetings, I just failed the test too. :-( I don't think you can switch from window to window without clicking on the "hide topology" or "show topology" button in the lower left. But, if you stay logged into the router, when you go back to it, it will be where you left off. Very time consuming!

On the exam, I could change from terminal to terminal by clicking on the "show topology" in the lower left side, and then clicking on another station with direct connection to a router.
Try this site, I hope it will help:

It shows where the button is located, but you cannot change from station to station like in the real exam.

ITR,
I guess this new exam format is designed to test not only your theorectical knowledge but also your technical logic ;-). It may be unfair for the exam layout to be a little unclear in some questions, but if you think about it, in real life, some of the technical problems you face do not always have clear method of resolution. Next time you sit the exam, keep a clear mind and apply some technical logic and I'm sure that you should be able to work out the solution.

PS: If you think these question are tough to work out, wait until you start working on getting your CCIE.
