I have a table with the following fields:

Name
Start_Date
Start_Time
End_Time

I would like to write a query that shows all work done on a certain start date (entered by user) between the time of 7am -3:30pm.

I don't know much about Access and was hoping someone could offer a simple suggestion.

Thanks

You stated " query that shows all work done " without defining "work done". Are you actually looking for the number of minutes that fall between 7am -3:30pm? Is there a table name you can share with us?

Do you actually have a field named name? Name is a property of everything in Access so name is not a good name. It is a reserved word and may bite you.

Perhaps you should provide some sample records and desired output.

I agree with dhookom - "Name" is not a good name for a field in any data base. Change it to something better, like "Empl_Name". Just make sure that's the case - I had a user who insisted his table was named "Table", it turned out to be called "tblCustomer" :)

And how are those fields defined in your data base?[tt]
Empl_Name Text ???
Start_Date Date/Time ???
Start_Time Text ???
End_Time Text ???
[/tt]
Could you post a sample of your data, something like:[tt]
Empl_Name Start_Date Start_Time End_Time
Joe 2009-10-15 6:00 15:30
Susie 2005-01-05 4:15 22:00
???? ????? ???? ????[/tt]

Have fun.
