I've got the projector hooked up, but how do I make it show on both my monitor and the projector..

Its a dell gx 260 desktop..

Does your video card have 2 outputs? if so you can go into Windows XP under the video display settings and tell it you are using 2 monitors.

And if it does have two outputs, it would depend on the the type. If you're using a VGA or DVI output, then you should be able to activate it under the Display Properties on the Settings tab as John pointed out.

However, if you're using an S-video or composite output, then usually you need to configure it in the software utility that should have been installed from the card's driver CD.

Look for an icon on your F-keys that looks like a computer monitor.

Hold Function and press that key. You may have to do it twice to get it to show on both the projector and screen.
