Hi,
I have Definity G3si ver. 12 and 8410D sets.
User has two sets in the department and is going to add one more (x5002) because some calls are being missed (not answered). Right now they have bridge appearance of ext. 5000 on 5001 set, which allows them to answer the call but not to transfer it.
What would be the best setup for three phones (and three people answering them) so no calls are missed and incoming calls can be put on hold, transferred?
Thank you.

With only 3 sets, you might have the common phone number moved to a Terminating Extension Group.

You can only have 4 stations in the group, so this is pretty good.

Terminating extension groups are addressed by their group number. So, if you had 3 already, you would type:

add term 4

But the easy thing to do is just type:

add term next

This will add the next higher number of terminating extension group that's available.

After that, it's pretty easy to setup. You add the extension, group name, coverage path (if desired), and the members of the group.

When you call the terminating extension group number, all 3 phones will ring. You can place the call on hold, transfer the call to another destination or anything else.

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)

Great, sounds like a good idea.
Thank you very much. Please, have a star.
