I have two PBX Operator consoles, when both consoles are on calls, the next call should route to the auto-attendant for menu selection, however, all I get when testing this is a ring, no answer. What do I look for to make sure this feature is set-up correctly? Even if only one console is logged in, the calls should overflow, not happening.
Thanks!

Console overflow calls must be directed to phones with Single Call Ringer or Multiple Call
Ringer as the target DN.

Before making any changes to your overflow take a print of the current set-up. After any
amendments take another print to confirm the changes.

LD 21

REQ prt
TYPE att
CUST 0

All of the attendant information for customer 0 will be returned.

The AODN (attendant overflow DN) is set in LD 15 the CDB (customer data block) in the ATT
(attendant) gate, as follows

LD 15

REQ chg
TYPE ATT
CUST 0
Hit return until AQTT (enter the overflow timer requirements, in seconds)
AODN (enter the DN you require the overflow to terminate on, in the first instance).
Hit enter through to REQ.

Thanks for the quick response. I want to make sure I understand how this should be set-up. Here is the printout:

This is showing AODN as 2255 with AQTT of 16 seconds. Does this mean that I can't enter the voicemail extension (2255) as the overflow DN? I have to build a phone and overflow to the phone which then overflows to voicemail?

Thanks!

the book says it must be a phoneset...

does it work if you just use a DN to overflow too

Colin,
I set-up a 1 line phoneset, changed the OVDN on the att to that extension. I forwarded the phoneset to voicemail, however, when testing calls, I receive from 5 to 10 or more rings before it the auto-attendant picks up. I even tried an analog line with overflow to the auto-attendant with the same results. Any suggestions on what to check? Our VP wants the calls going directly to the Auto-attendant if both PBX Operators are busy on calls. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it!

Change the AQTT prompt to 0 and forward the phoneset to voice mail

I changed AQTT to 1, system won't allow 0 and forwarded phone to voicemail. Made test calls, 1 Operator on phone, 1 console in busy mode, still getting extended number of rings. No Luck.

if the auto-attendant is an acdn, make sure that mwc=yes

Actually, I tried creating a phoneset to overflow to, it didn't work. I tried an analog line, worked intermittently. I set-up a CDN, it works great every time. Thanks all for your help! I appreciate the support.
