Our Organization has rolled out Ver 6 of the Citrix client on our users Desktop pc's. We have then added a couple of Custom ICA connections of published apps for our users. The issue is in several departments we have multiple shifts and when a different user logs in than the profile that the custom ICA connection was setup under ,then they get an error stating "The application set could not be found".

Just wondering if there is a work around that will allow any user that logs into the pc access to previous ICA connections that have been configured on this pc?As opposed to having to configure the custom ICA connection under each individual user!

Why don't you just change the connection properties to Local user and pass thru authentication?

The problem is that the ICA connections are put in each user's profile. What we do is have the profiles pushed down from the server, that way the ICA settings come with the profile.

What I have had to do in the past was login as each user, and config their citrix connection/apps.
It is a pain but with profiles its the only way I've done it.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for the replies, one thing we are looking at now is setting up our apps under a user then copying the ICA client folder from the users profile and placing it under default user profile (Win2k) this seems to resolve the scenario of creating connections under every profile. So now we have the apps copied to Citrix program neighborhood for any new user logging in and just have to communicate this to our users as they are so use to seeing desktop shortcuts as opposed to opening the program neighborhood!

Looks like our helpdesk will take the brunt of these calls, oh well!
