Greetings,

We are replacing an old Mitel SX-200 system at a client with a hosted VoIP solution. As part of our process, we forward the telephone numbers to temporary numbers until the number port to our system is completed.

Call Forwarding is not enabled on the Mitel system. We cannot forward the number at the provider level as the provider is unable/unwilling to do it (Bell Canada, don't ask)

If anyone has any instructions or can walk us through the process on the Mitel system on how to activate the call forwarding, that would be appreciated. We are willing to pay for the assistance.

Regards

Would I be correct in assuming you do not have access to change the programming on the 200?

Not much to be done in that case unfortunately. Frankly, I'm a little surprised that the Telco is being uncooperative. There's nothing to gain for them by being so.

Hi there. Thanks for getting back. We actually have full access just no idea what to do. My client can log in and we can navigate and initiate Thanks for getting back to me. We can actually log into the system and initiate changes. We just don't know where to go in the system and how to activate the call forward. I actually found the screen that told us what the command was on the phone to initiate the call forward but it does not work at the phone. I therefore assumed that the command is disabled. We don't know how to enable.

Ideallyl we would need instructions for idiots on how to do it or to have someone walk us through by phone as well

I won't evev get into the telco.

Thanks

If you have access, I can probably help you.

We need to establish how it currently works before we can modify. We might have to modify a lot but it might just be that your doing it incorrectly.

Does each phone have a direct dial that you want to forward or are we talking about a main number that rings a console type device.

You mention seeing a forwarding option on a phone. Can you tell me the type of phone?

There is a main number that goes to the receptionist console.

Then there are about 10 or so direct dials.

Sorry if I wasn't clear about the forwarding option: I saw the call forward option on the terminal that controls the pbx.

I can't remember the model number of the phone. I can find out from the client tomorrow.

I will be at the client site tomorrow about 2pm or so. Is it possible to set up a time to discuss by phone with you?
