need help with java errors 1

I support a java based program , but when some users try to start the java applet the error coms up " java lang error"
can someone please tell me how and why this occurs.

You really need to provide the full stack trace and preferrably include source code. Wushutwist

a stack trace is basically the data that java chucks out when it throws an uncaught exception. It just lists the contents of the system stack at the time of the error and should allow you to identify the line of code that is causing the problem.

if you run the java command to execute your program, the output will appear in the associated DOS box.
