I have a list in XL which contains a mixture of numbers, letters, and numbers and letters. I formatted the column as Text and I imported the list in to Access. The Data Type in Access is text but my numbers are coming out like this 9.22004e+006. Everything else is fine. What am I doing wrong????

Any help would be great!

Thanks

Hi ribhead,
I really don't know what you did wrong, but you can fix the problem after you imported the data with FormatNumber function

And sometimes you can't. A large number may drop the number of significant digits to maintain the decimal places. I find the Decimal format the most accommodating when preserving numeric integrity.

Tough one though with colomn mixed data types
