Last month our UPS batteries died and our whole system went down during the night.
I had to by-pass the UPS to get backup and running until I got new batteries.
Since then I haven't been getting any of my Call Accounting reports. I've been randomly trying different things.

I've rebooted the TapitNova EZbox, I've remoted into the box and made sure the Tapit software was running. Today I've been monitoring the "Real-Time Data" and it appears there are calls coming in.
If I generate a report I get zero data.

I'm at a loss where to look next.
I think my CDR is turned on and running in my switch but I'm not sure how to verify it's working; although I see phone calls in my "Real-Time Data" view in my TapitNova.
I'm out of maintenance warranty with Tapit (Trisys) so they won't lend any suggestions.

S8800 with CM 5.2.1
Trisys TapitNova 5.0

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Brad

Your problem is with the TapitNova EZbox

get the TapitNova EZbox support team to assist

I did a little more investigating later last night.
The SQL Server Agent portion of the EZbox won't stay running, that's probably why my "reports" won't pull any information.
So, I'll jump over to the SQL Server guys to see if they can help me.
I'm going to dive into my system / error logs when I get back in this morning and see where they'll lead me.

Thanks for your time and reply.

if you do a 'status cdr' and if the output shows 'up' with nothing queued in the buffer then the PBX end is fine. Since you already identified a SQL issue you found the culprit.

Thanks for the 'status cdr' info.
My Avaya equipment is great, never really have issues, which is good.
The downside is, I never have issues, so I never remember the quick easy commands! :
Now I just have to figure out the SQL issue!

just an fyi update;
my tapit exbox is out of maintenance warranty...so no help from them.
The only suggestion I got was my switch lost it's settings, other than that speak with a salesperson about upgrading.

So, I'm not impressed with Trisys TapitNova support.

Has anyone else had any experience with these TapitNova EZboxes?

I have a physical box and have never really had a problem with it. We originally looked at it for the recording aspect and after a painful period of them getting it to work they threw in the call accounting piece for free. But we do pay maintenance and have only had to use support a few times. Nothing major

We've had our box "EZBox" as they call it for almost 5 years now. we've never had an issue until now.
Because of the way it's acting up, I'm thinking maybe the Hard drive itself had failed in the area of the data base storage.

Everything seems to work except when I generate a report all my reports come up empty.
I'm going to take it out of service and test the HDD itself.

IF I find a fix, I'll post it.

I was doing more digging and looking; I was comparing another Call Accounting pkg setup with mine and I noticed something that's making me go hmmm!
my IP Node Names list shows some discrepancies:

Name IP Address
CDR 206.9x.xxx.xxx (being used by another device on my network?) Where should this be pointing to??
We're using TapitNov and I have a listing for:
Tapit 192.224.xxx.xx (which is correct)

CLAN2 192.224.xxx.xx (also being used by another device on my network?)

How can I tell what's supposed to be using the CLAN2 IP Address?

The 3rd party company that installed the system asked for an IP range; they gave me a list back with what IP was used for what. I never realized there wasn't two CLANs on their list. Plus I don't know how they got the 206.95.xxx.xxx address, unless it was an old leftover. But why did they leave it.
I gave them a range of 192.224.xxx.a0 - 192.224.xxx.b1 they went to .b2 and didn't tell me.
