i don't have much experience with merlin magix systems, but i've been thrown at this problem since i'm the only person in the company with telecom experience. i haven't touched one of these systems since it was called merlin legend.
anyway, this site i'm configuring is our short-term disaster recovery site. i created a calling group and renumbered it to 2224 (one of the did numbers) so anyone can answer the incoming calls. the type is Group Ring and Auto Logout. i added all of the extensions as members and programmed login buttons using *44.
this works, but i need to improve it. to that end i have three specific questions:
1) right now when you call it, it just rings until someone answers. how can i make it play hold music instead? there is already a music source configured that works when you push hold.
2) how can i stick a greeting in front of it? i have an integrated merlin messaging system.
3) auto logout is not working. the phone just keeps ringing and ringing. are Group Ring and Auto Logout not compatible?
