I have a Dell 2400 with 3-18GB SCSI running RAID5. I also have a backup tape on the server. We do complete backups every night. I need to replace the three drives with 72GB drives because we are running very low on space. Roughly 4 GB left.

How do I go about replacing the drives and then restoring the OS and data files? Do I remove the three current drives and then replace with the new ones? And do I have to reinstall Novell? Or after installing the new drives, can I just restore the entire system with the backup tape?

I am running Novell 5.1 with Groupwise SBS.

Thanks for your advice.

Matt

Why not install the 3 x 72Gb disks alongside the existing 3 x 18GB?

You'll have 3 spare disk slots which you can use.

Regards
Rob
