I was hoping for some help from you experts on setting up a external meet me conference bridge, I know how to set up a traditional bridge such as hitting a sub menu and transferring to meet me conference 1 2 3 etc..... I have a IP Office 9.1.4 with voicemail pro, here is what I am trying to do. assign 1 did number that hits a greeting that prompts for a bridge number such as the employees extension number and goes into that bridge, I do not want to have to create a ton of these so was hoping for a way just to create 1 that will route to their bridge number. I have set this up successfully on internal extension bridges but am stumped on how to do this for an external number. Any help would be most appreciated!!!!

We got this set up, and it isn't exactly perfect - to say, to host the call, the user with bridge 999 must be dialed in from 999 for everyone to be able to talk, but in VMPro there's a "ConfMenu" action and you can collect digits - like an extension, and if you match, to to a "transfer to bridge" action.

There's a "specific action" of 4*$KEY in the Transfer to bridge action to prompt for the PIN.

It works.

Bonus points if you can figure out how to let it enter 999# as extension and not make VMPro assume # is part of the PIN and mess up people dialing in :)

Thanks for all the help will give it a shot

Hi All,

I managed to get this working following Kyles guides and the other Mr Holidays guides.
I just wanted to find out if there was a way of replacing the beep tone that comes as one is waiting for the conference host to join the conference? Could that be replaced with something that says "kindly wait for the conference host to join" or "please wait whilst we connect you to the conference" ?

Thanks
SKVL

There are 2 ways to do this
1. to use the extension number as bridge number and use the security of the system to make sure that nobody uses the bridge unless the owner of the extension is also in there bridge

2. using password as security but that would mean to change the password periodically

I prefer the first one and have people call into the system via FNE if they are out of the office and want to host a conference call because of the added security

The beep tone is your "holdmusic". You can replace it by activating a regular holdmusic file (for all calls) or you can keep the beep as hold tones and use a wav file as optional source under system/telephony/tones and music. Then you are able to assign that alternative source with your text (Wait for the conference to start...) to the ICR for the conference.
