Can somebody give me the exact line i have to set in the Thinstation configuration file (to put on a floppy so i can boot it together with a cd-rom) to set the encryption to 128 bit for Citrix connection wit ICA client.

I keep getting messages tha the encryption used is not high enough and in the config file default ICA encryption is basic (#ICA_ENCRYPTION=Basic).

Thnx in advance!

Never done a ThinStation before, but Citrix are reasonably standard in their approach.

I would try "(#ICA_ENCRYPTION=128 bit)" in the config file.
alternativley use

UseDefaultEncryption=Off
EncryptionLevelSession=5

Cheers
Scott

I tried to change the value for encryption to almost everything I could think of ("Basic", "128", "128 login", "128login", "128bit", "128 bit", ...) but nothing helps.

I can start a Citrix session but when I start the application for customer relation in this session, a new the program won't start because of the following message:

"This application is enabled, but is not available. A higher encryption level is required which this client does not support."

I have no problem with other (Citrix) programs.
Any idea what i should do?

What does the file you are editing look like ?

Could you put a couple of line down here so we can have a look. You could edit out the private bits.

Cheers
Scott

According to thinstation developers this is what you should use.

#ICA_ENCRYPTION Encryption level for ICA
# Valid Settings Below
# "Basic"
# "RC5 (128 bit - Login Only)"
# "RC5 (40 bit)"
# "RC5 (128 bit)"
# "RC5 (56 bit)

Thnx riwe, works like a charm now.
My problem is solved, thnx for the help everyone!

ICA_BROWSER_PROTOCOL=HTTPonTCP
ICA_ENCRYPTION="RC5 (128 bit)"
ICA_COMPRESS=On
