When I log into and put my ID, Password & domain (I know they work.)

I get the following error

HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable

And that is it?

(I just installed coldfusion on the machine and Exchange service pack 2)

Anyone see this before?

Really need help.

OWA did work with until I installed Cold fusion. Now I have this problem. I have tried the above fix but still the problem remains. Will play with other setting and then reinstall exchange. YA..I'll keep you updated.

Thanks

I tried the Q282230 fix. I can now get to But it is in a ftp style. I just get a file listing of my Inbox, Calendar, Deleted Items....
The OWA GUI does not start.
Is there a way to force the GUI to start again??

Thanks

Matt

FTP is a different port. Can you verify my question? Dan

Sorry,

Does ; work?

No I get the HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable error after I enter my Username, password and domain.
I also get the 503 error when I try

Domain/exchange
ipaddress/exchange

It did work before I installed Cold fusion Server.

I did not mean that I was accessing it through FTP. I mean after I deleted the the file association in Q282230 fix I allowed me to see the folders but did not start the OWA GUI?

Should I just rebuild?

I know that will work?

3 hours but we will not know what the fix is?

Your call?

Try running HKCRScan if you can find it.

It will tell if Cold Fusion has made an invalid (too long) registry key. Got Terminal Services? :) Dan

I reinstalled from the OS up. Works fine.

Sorry I could not keep this server down for anymore time.

No I do not have TS.

Thanks Matt

I am getting the same error. I get the authentication dialog box where I enter the username and password, and then I get: HTTP 1.1/503 Service Unavailable

Same error over HTTP and HTTPS (443).

Friday night I installed SP 2 on single Exchange 2000 box after testing it on THREE SERVERS! It was working on Friday, Saturday and for most part today (Sunday). I'm not sure if its SP2, but that's been the only change in my Exchange environment. Otherwise, no other down time in almost a year!

I can telnet to SMTP port but get some garbage.. Can't telnet to POP3 (I probably closed 110 on the firewall). I can telnet to IMAP4 port 143 but I can't get any messages/folders using IMAP with Outlook - keeps asking me for my password.

Please let me know if someone's figured it out. The KB article Q282230 assumes I'm running other sites on the same server, but I'm not.

I'm getting the same. I removed the davex.dll and now I am allowed to browse the directory, but cannot use the gui. help!

Incidently, I've got owa running perfectly on another machine and that has the afore mentioned dll still included!

I also am having the issue with the gui portion. I can logon but I am dumped to a directory with a listing that looks similar to ftp file listings BUT I AM NOT USING FTP to access it.

Remove IIS then add it back and run reinstall of Exchange. This puts IIS back to the defaults. Dan

This seems like an exteme measure, will all of my websites still function? will all of my users' emails remain intact?

All email is fine when you do this.

This will remove all websites.

If you have terminal server then I could TS in and fix it but the easiest way to fix something is to compare it to a working server and see what settings are different. So if you have a working server compare your settings to it first. Dan

I have several web sites up on this server and I cannot afford any down time (like to reinstall) Is there any other way to fix this issue? Do you know what the problem is?

No I would need to look at it. Dan

Is there a way that you can look at my server remotely? Is this a viable option?

Yeah with Terminal Services.

You can shadow the connection as well to make sure I don't mess up anything. Dan
