Hi all,
I am currently designing a site for a client
they want a site search engine
see link below

I have never built one myself and do not have much experience with scripting, I have had little success with tutorials i have tried online already.

DO I need to create a recordset? or will java script do?

can anyone advise on scripts or does anyone know of tutorials that can assist?
thanks.

I am using a server database set up by the hosting company,
all files are edited on the server using dream weaver 8.
The content is static html.

i guess the search pages will have to be .asp

I have nothing set up for the server or no search pages set up yet

Bruce Corkhill at WebWizGuide.com used to have a really good asp site search script in their free scripts section, but it appears to have gone.

have a browse through
and see if there is one there that is suitable.
