Hi All,

I have about 6 grouping in my report and my 5th group is by year and the report run by a range of year.My users want a page break when the year changes. I tried doing this in the section format by checking the page after and page before(one at a time) but I don't get the desried results.

When I check page after the report prints all the 5 group heading and then give a page break and if I used page before option it prints all the 4 group heading and gives a page break. how can I aviod this or is there any other way to approch it which I don't know.

I am also having trouble to fit 16 columns in a letter size(a4) paper and not allowed to used legal size.

here is an ex of how the report should look

The page break should be inserted as a "New Page After" on the Group #5 Footer, not the header. You can control the headers that appear on each page by using the change group expert to check or uncheck "Repeat group header on each page."

To fit all the columns on one page, you might want to decrease the font size and then resize the fields and move them closer while in design mode. You can select all fields and then use the A- icon to reduce font size to as low as "1" (the icon will do this even when you can't change or overwrite the font size in the dropdown box--at least for the fonts I use). I often reduce font size to 6 to allow many columns that are still readable.
