I am using Foxpro 2.5 for windows on Win95. I cannot Initiate DDE. The example of Excel in the help, works fine, but till date, I have not been able to DDE any other applications.
DDELastError returns 16 (unable to link ).
Glad to see someone else has the same problem. I thought it was me being hard headed, or a plot by MicroSoft to only let DDE work with other MicroSoft Products.

David W. Grewe
Dave@internationalbid.net

No, Actually I mean I cant even DDE Microsoft Word.

I've always been able to get DDE to other MS Office programs to work as long as the versions were the same. I have here of cases where someone had WinWord installed and then purchased MS Office . On the install they did not select Word to be installed because it was already on the system.

WRONG, They had many problems,. They finally had to remove Word and Office and then reinstall. After that it worked as required.

Keeping that in mind you might have a bad / out dated / newer version of a DLL on your computer that Fox/Word is looking for.

If reinstalling Fox and MSoffice des not work, Post the code you are using so we can see what you are trying to do.

David W.
