Ok, i have for years worked on my own systems. I just got hired at a new place, and to get a tech to come out from AT&T and update the list, etc takes FOREVER!!! not to mention tons of money.

I have admin
Avaya as well as Astrix

now i need to know how to get into this system. here is a list of things they have

Norstar Nortel Modular ICS system
Nortel CallPilot 150/Mini which i can get to via IP (telnet is there on the same IP but i do not know the username or password)
3 x MOX 16 Card for the ICS system via Fiber
3X ATA
1 x L'UAD Eclair

i found 2 serial ports. 1 on the Eclair and the other on the Callpilot.

how can i go into the ICS ? i want to do the following

CLEAN UP! :) i want to get a list of all the ext's, users, and DIDs given out. this will help me make an excel and work from there.

Thanks!

You would go in thru thru a phone with F **266344 then PSWD.
For the CP PSWD you can reset the PSWD it is in the docs.
You can not tell PSWD's on this site.

i have it already. but this is the ONLY way to get a list of each extension and what each ext has a DID??

Yes this is the only way unless you have a RAD on the system then you would need the remote utlities software to connect.

Where can i download this? how do i find out the IP address of this? is it the same IP as the Call Pilot?

Nortel.com or buy it from a Vendor. No IP just RAD password.

It would be a good investment to pay a vendor to install the FastRad and train you on it's use. You could wipe out the database (been there, done that)if you're not careful, so the first step is to create a backup.

Guys thanks for all your input.

I got the NRU / RAD Software.

will the below steps reset JUST the pwd part of the RAD?
-------------------------------------------------
you'll need a 7310 for the function keys)

-FEATURE 9 * *

-Hit left display key 5 times

-Hit center display key 7 times

-Hit right display key 8 times

-Hit HOLD, 2, 1, then RLS (Release)

RAD is defaulted

--------------------------------------------------

thank you guys!

Ok going to reset. i confirmed it wont damage anything else.

BUT when doing this
-Hit HOLD, 2, 1, then RLS (Release)

does that mean press hold, 2, 1 all at the same time and then press rls?

Ok so im in the RAD using a pwd that actually was already set. BUT when using the NRU software and a direct connect says RAD does not respond. I powered down the system and nothing.

Ok im in guys. i found the specific SErial cable. it was that all along. also, i did a backup before doing ANYTHING! more questions to come now since im in
