I just bought the Rosewill Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 128mb card not too long ago, to upgrade from my Radeon 7000 64mb, installed it in my computer and I started having a problem where as soon as I get into Windows the monitor turns off and screen goes black. I cant do anything from there. I uninstalled my old video card drivers and reinstalled them over and over again. Tried changing the resolution, but when the screen is black there's not much I can do. Any thoughts on how to fix this?
Here's my comp-

PCChips Socket A DDR266, 4X AGP, chipset: VIA KT 266A/8235
AMD Athlon XP 2400+
pqi 512 mb DDR memory
ATI RADEON 7000 64mb
WD 80gb hd
Excelstor 80gb hd

any comments or suggestions would be helpful.

It may be that the video card does not detect the monitor properly and tries to drive it at a resolution above its capabilities.

If you had a scope I'd ask you to verify if there are sync signals at the DB15 connector, to find out if the problem is between the card and the monitor.

Have you tried XP in safe mode?

Have you tried another monitor?

I have tried one other monitor, same problem, i haven't tried safe mode yet, I'll try that next. Thanks.

Finally got it installed and running, took a while messing around in safe mode and finally got it to work thanks a lot.
