We were running it in its previous guise Netsaint, what problems are you having?

I've moved off that project now but I can probably lay my hands on some documentation (our install config notes) within the next few days if your stuck.

Its reasonably straight forward once you grasp the concept ..

Whats your timescale?

Laurie.

Hi,

I use nagios to monitor our network service. The installing should be straight forward enough if you read the documentation provided. The only thing you need to tweak is the configuration file to suit your need.

feroz

/etc/init.d/nagios start
will start it if the config files validate correctly.

Or /etc/rc.d/init.d/nagios start depending on the linux variant.

As the others have said - read the install & customising doco with the product, it takes some work to get it up and running but it is well worthwhile.

Study the sections relevant to the configuration files well as they make the difference bewteen an easy to use and hard to use system.
