I am receiving the following *warning* when compiling which references the following header file:
[source]
#include <stdafx.h>
[/source]

: warning C4652: compiler option 'Generate Browser Info' inconsistent with precompiled header; current command-line option will override that defined in the precompiled header

Could anyone tell me what this means? ( I read the helpfile write up but it doesn't quite explain any clearing than the error message to a beginner such as myself. What are they referring to as in command-line? Below is the full code in the .h file that it is listed in:

It sounds to me like you changed one of your project settings, then this warning started appearing.
Try doing a "Rebuild All" in the Build menu.

Ya, I don't know what changed, but Doing the Rebuild all corrected that. Thanks for the headsup.

I usually make sure my projects don't use Precompiled Headers. For most of the stuff I do, they're more of an annoyance than anything else.

Better always use precompiled headers: for example, it's tons of declarations in <windows.h> tree (add winsock et al;).

A simple and not so burdensome medicine (at least in old not so good VS 6.0): recompile (by the hands) StdAfx.cpp (time to time or at any doubts;).

For example, if you want to generate browse info (at any debug stage), formally no need to recompile StdAfx.cpp (precompiled headers anchor), but it's impossible to generate full browse info without StdAfx.h declarations (see message above). Well, select StdAfx.cpp and press Compile button then go on (w/o any problems;)...
