Red Hat Linux has all you need. When you tell it to set up as server, email and httpd are setup for you. Just configure. Type linuxconf to get started.
Man files tell you all you need to know.

I agree Unix is a great OS for running an ISP, but I would also use Windows NT servers as well.

To set up an ISP, the server and OS are two key parts. Some of the less technical, but critical issues will be setting up your Inter-connect agreements.
My personal experience is limited in Malasia, but some things you may consider. How much traffic (data) do you expect. How many E-1 (2 meg ) CCITT equiv. to T-1s will you need.

What are the access speeds you can offer?

What addressing plan will you get so traffic will come to your POP.

Do you have a co-location agreement with TELECOM Malasia?

How will you deal with metered calls?

How can you manage the traffic?

Do you have an opportunity for voice over IP?

Go with the NT4 server and install the Internet Information Server 4 it comes with lots of examples and you can get the resource kit for it and it comes with lots of templates for you to go by.The DNS server is very easy to use but unfortunately lacks alot of the more powerful features in BIND 8 as well as lots of the BIND 8 security features are missing as well

An even easier way to setup an ISP is to use Cobalt Raq2 or Cube servers. They come preconfigured and you can run Sendmail, DNS and Web servers all on a rack mountable unit. We just got one in and after setting NT on several servers the Raq2 is a dream come true. Go to <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> and check them out. Nice pricing, too!
