Hey guys, recently fixed up an Aloha system for a wine bar that decided to run a dodgy antivirus that removed half the dll files as false positives. I have the EDC and front end back to work, but the owner states I'm still missing a tray icon.

Apparently the icon was a little happy face that would turn green when employees were logged in up front as a preventative measure to keep the back end from restarting while employees are logged in (and causing more headaches)

Do any of you gurus know what process/file this is associated with, and how I might go about restoring the functionality? I'm not new to fixing computers, but Aloha is definitely something fresh for me.

We're running EDC v6.2.19

I've never heard of it. It's not part of the regular Aloha install and could be a file that scans the data folder looking for .lck files.

Cheers,

Coorsman - you are correct. I don't remember the actual file name but it is a program that runs and just watches for *.lck to see when someone is on the terminal.

I can try and get my hands on the program if you would like. We used to install it on systems for people so they knew when they could refresh Aloha and not have to run to the office to do it. It is really easy to install because it is one .EXE file that you just put in the startup folder on the BOH or on the desktop and click to launch. There is nothing to install on the terms.

Cute, I'll search to see if I can find a link somewhere.

Cheers,
Coorsman

Kpos is correct, it is Iberspy, someone had halted the process earlier thinking it was a piece of (terribly obviously named) spyware, haha. Got it back up and everything is good to go.
