I can' figure out what is wrong with this system...there is a couple problems...here is my setup

I have a 391c1 power unit, Merlin Legend R7 10.0 Cke3 processor, 008 mlx-U, 016 ETR, 800 gl-id, and i have merlin legend mail 007 MLM 2 port in the 4th slot...but it comes up as 008 OPT...and its not working obviously, I can set up all the extentions and the phones work. i have a mlx20 and spm 8.0...i can't get none of the phone lines to work/have a dial tone...It would be highly appreciated if I can get someone to help me with the situation I'm in...I've never messed with merlin legend phone systems. Just Avaya Partner...alot easier in my opinion...

That probably means it's in another Calling Group, or it's somehow not eligible to be a VMI OR, you have somehow exceeded the number of Voice Mail Ports (Integrated and/or Generic).

The 2nd scenario is a bit difficult to do, but there is a limit.

Can you print any reports?

That would tell us something.

it won't let me change the integrated vmi, its stuck on 721 and won't switch to anything else, and their is also calling groups in 7920

it won't let me because when the calling group is set to integrated vmi, it gets rid of all the extensions that are being used.

finally figured it out...thanks for the help, this is the first time for me doing this again...lol...now when i dial 770 it asks me for an extension, and every extension that i type in, it says invalid

I wanna say thank you everyone for helping me out! Im almost done, i just need to figure out how to get the caller id to work after it goes thru the auto attendant and goes to the mls phones..

and how do i stop all of the phones from ringing before the auto attendant picks up?

Set the lines for Loop Start ID, which will cause the system to wait for the Caller ID to be received (or the 2nd ring if not) before sending the call to the phones or auto attendant.

Set the ringing phones to NO ring. But set at least one phone to DELAYED ring, so if the voicemail fails, or all the ports are in use, incoming calls will still eventually ring.

is there a way that i can have the auto attendant send a call to multiple phones, ex; press 1 for dispatch, they want it to go to 3 of the phones and not just one

Send it to one extension, and put a primary coverage button for it on the other 2 extensions.

thats what i have been doing, the only problem with that is that the caller id does not show for who is calling, it says the extension that it is linked to
