Everybody,

I have a wierd configuration here and I have no idea what type of router I'm going to need. We have a need for 2 frame relay's in the office here. One of them is our regular full T1 speed internet connection, and the other is going to be a private line going to one of our customers. So the ISP has sold us one full frame, and a seperate 128k line. I went out and bought the router their tech guys had recommended (a Netopia), only to find out now that they don't support 2 physical lines.

So the question is, if I wanted to move into a Cisco router (which I have some experience with), what would I need? I believe I could get away with a single 2600 with 2 CSU/DSU cards in it? Or I could be way off as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Andrew

A 2600 should easily handle the 2 circuits you are describing. Todd Hethmon

Get a 2600 router (2621XM is nicest but a 2610 will do it too) and a pair of WIC-1DSU-T1. The WICs will plug right into the phone company's line.

Here's a URL to assist you in configuring the router. If you have never used Cisco IOS before you may want to get someone to help you as a lot of things can cause you problems if it isn't right.

Netopia routes are really nice. You can buy extra interfaces for them depending on your model.
