Hi all i got a cs1000e rls 5 to install at some time. The system configuration is as follows

MGC cards=05
CPPM SS =01
CPPM =01
SIP Trunk=32
IP user =25
Analog ext=192 (12 cards)
DLC user = 32 (2 cards)
PRI cards =09
call pilot 600 r.
It has 4 cabinets (11c cabinets).

Now i need advise in some card slot assignments and extra MGC.
(1) How do u advise card to slot assignments? in which
cabinet and slot i distribute these analog and DLC
cards.
(2) What about extra MGC cards? in which slot or cabinet do
i use this MGC? and how do i programme 2nd MGC in a
single cabinet.

I will be thankful to you if you guide me in this. I installed a couple of CS1000E with some small configuration but need some help in this big configuration and extra MGC settings.
regards

if you want extra DSP resources you can add MC32 card if you want security you can use MC32S,take note that TDS/DTR are local resources on each cabinet so you need to configure it on each cabinet for analogue extensions.

I designed that system through Noretl Enterprise configurator, and i dont know why that extra MGC for? it is a 4 cabinet system.
Can i distribute these PRI cards in all 4 cabinets?

Regards

MGC card should always go in slot 0, it replaces the SSC card in this configuration.

Also pay attention to which position you mount the DSP daughterboards on the MGC's. You need to be at a certain loadware on the MGC to use 2 96 port DBs, and below that only one of the slots will support the 96 port board.

The other card slot assignments are up to you. If it was my system, I would not put the CPPM sig server in the same cabinet as the CPPM call server (just a preference).

That would be any slot for the PRI except for slot 10. It is missing some voltage in that slot to run the TMDI card.

MGC will replace the SSC card in the main cabinet and the fiber reciever in the expansion cabinets.

you cannot use 2 x 96 ports/DSP in single MGC,the max you can is 128 DSP ports so thats 1 x32port DSP and 1 x 96 port DSP DB,thats why if you need additional DSP resources you need to add MC32, there is loop assignment in connecting DSP DB. 32 port should start with 0 0 0 and 96 port should go to 0 0 11- 13

Thanks for the info, but am not understand what should i do with that extra MGC, any advise in this??
Ok i am planning these 9 PRI cards as

(a) 3 PRI card in first cabinet==> 4 0 4/4 0 5/4 0 6
with clock controller on 4 0 4.

(b) 3 PRI in 2nd cabinet==> 4 1 4/4 1 5/4 1 6.

(c) 3 PRI in 3rd cabinets==> 8 0 4/8 0 5/8 0 6.

Also distributing analog cards as 1 in first cabinet,4 in 2nd cabinets, 4 in 3rd and 3 in last cabinet.
Is that configuration OK and can i use Clock controller of first PRI card with all other PRI?
regards

As for the extra MGC card you can return it for credit or keep it as a spare. You can not use this card in your current configuration. You can only have one MGC per cabinet.

As for the T1 cards and the clock controller you MUST have at least one clock controller per cabinet. If you only have one clock card then all the T1 cards will have to stay in one cabinet. In your configuration you would need 3 clock controller cards.
