Hello

I am writing a program which uses a timer object the declares and stores many rapidly changing variables. Upon exiting the timer and halting the program I want a reset button to restart the program or at the very least, reinitialize all variables and clear the screen. My attempts so far have failed.

Any ideas?

Welcome to Tek-Tips vork. Have a good read at faq222-2244 to get the best from the forum. For this question:

Maybe I've missed the point, but local variables are reset when the form or procedure starts. If your variables are declared at Form or Procedure level then unload and reload the form.

'If we're supposed to work in Hex, why have we only got A fingers?'

but how do you go about doing that?

Have a look at "Unload", and "Show" in the help. You might want to have the timer-reset functionality on a separate form to the one you want to re-initialise.

Hope this helps
