Need help converting Oracle Blob to JPEG file

I'm trying to extract photos stored in an Oracle BLOB field and create a JPEG in the NT file system. Anyone with this experience that could provide some sample code or advice would be much appreciated.

What tool do you use? I do not think this may be dine by sql*plus. Regards, Dima

Our primary tools are Oracle Developer & PL/SQL but we do also have VB6 to a limited degree.

Did you try WRITE_IMAGE_FILE built-in? Regards, Dima

I can not find the procudure "Write-Image-File" in Developer or VB. Where did you you get that?

I'm sorry, but WRITE_IMAGE_FILE and Write-Image-File are not the same. WRITE_IMAGE_FILE is Oracle Forms built-in. You may also look at READ_IMAGE_FILE to store an image file to database. Regards, Dima
