need help configuring a used 2924

i purchased a 2924 from an auction, but have no idea as to configuring the switch since i don't know the ip address. can someone please shed some light into reconfiguring the 2924.

Connect a console cable to it and use hyperterminal to configure it. If you don't have a console cable, here's the pinouts from Cisco's website:

You dont need the Ip to configure the switch. You do need a DB9 adapter and a rollover over cable to plug into the console port. If there is a password set, you then need to reset the password.

thank you guys for your prompt responses! all i have to do is obtain a DB9 adapter, and a roll-over cable. hopefully i won't run into any problems resetting the password and reconfiguring the switch. if i do, i'll know where to turn.
