I am having problems locating the hardware requirements for running BGP on Cisco Cat 3550's.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can't run BGP on a 3550. I know for a fact that you can't on the 4500's. I'm pretty sure that only the 6500's can do BGP.

Correction to my last... The 3560 and 3750 can both do BGP with the IP SERVICES IOS. Also, the 4500, 4900, and 6500 can all run it as well.

There is no hardware requiremetns for bgp on the 3550. I would not try to run like the full internet routing table on it but it will run bgp . Just make sure you have the ip services software on the box preferrably the latest available for the 3550 like 12.2.37Se . There are certain bgp commands it will not run and you will have to research the unsupported bgp commands.
