need FTP program compatible with XP

I recently went from Win95 to XP (!). I was using CuteFTP32 to maintain my websites, but it's not compatible with XP. First time I tried, I connected to the server but couldn't get logon permission. Since then, I can't even connect...I just get a black screen for a bit, then back to desktop. Can anyone recommend freeware or shareware FTP that works smoothly with XP (Home edition)? Something with good documentation?

I am running XP Pro and have been using CuteFTp4.2 with no problems at all.

i use cute ftp pro 2 and no problems either with xp pro

there is a basic ftp program included with XP. at a command prompt type ftp.

Help search for "ftp" to get switches etc.

That should suffice till you find a GUI version.

Windows Explore will also work when pointed to an FTP adddress. type ftp://ftp.someplace.com/ in the Address Bar to connect to an ftp site. ----

for WS_FTP LE (vers 5.08). Works just fine in both XP Home and XP Pro and its free to non-commercial users.
