need faster mail server 1

my users are complaining about my slow mail server. I believe I have only 64 mb RAM. I am thinking I should max out the RAM to speed things up.

is this the right approach?
 

It would really help to install a caching name server. BIND is by default caching only so all you need to do is install it and put 'nameserver 127.0.0.1' in /etc/resolv.conf.

How does it resolve internal names?? /etc/hosts??

Try the commands 'dig your.ip.number' and 'dig -t mx <your.domain>'.

Thanks a bunch! I disabled dynamic NAT for the IMAP service on the firewall and now email is working from the netscape client for all users! I and all the library staff appreciate your great suggestion.
