Hello friends,
My project: when runing, DTS check the files in a folder, then import to Database and move away the imported file, then loop to check having any other files in folder, if no files exist, the job end. But when end, it show a message box "Successfully complete execution package ". As the package need runing automaticly in server, it should be either runing or exit. Somebody give me direction. Thanks in advance

Sounds like you are running this manually from designer (or right clicking then selecting "run").

1. Get to the DTS packages screen where there is a list of packages.
2. Right click on the package and select "schedule".
3. Set up a schedule as per a normal SQL job.
4. Go to SQL Server Agent / jobs and check the job has been set up (you may need to right click on jobs and then refresh.
5. Open the job and ensure the owner is an account that has sufficient privileges to do any tasks within the DTS (i.e. DB access / file access on the server etc.) normally, I set the owner to be the domain account we are running SQL as because it has server admin rights.
6. when it is scheduled, you don't get the pop up box. It is only showing to let you know it runs fine when you are running manually and would show any errors with the associated step.

Rgds,

M.
