I have an extension on a Magix with the main # and a did... I tried to copy this extension to another existing station and it won't let me.

I need 4515 to ring on same main number as 4506.... Must I renumber 4515 ??

I could also just have an appearance of the main DID number, but have no idea on what port it is located.

I spent 2 hours today setting-up a ring group with 4506 and 4515, but it didn't work.

I have an analog port with a ringer assigned to the main DID and tried to put it into the group, but I still can't get the second phone to ring.

Inherited this problem....no documentation.

Help!

When you say:

I need 4515 to ring on same main number as 4506.

Are you trying to tell us:

I need 4515 to ring on same EXTENSION as 4506.

The answer, as I see it, is quite simple.

Put a COVER BUTTON on 4506 for 4515.

And so I thought, but....

I first tried to add a cover button on 4515 to cover 4506...
no ring.
Then I tried to add a cover button to 4515 to cover 7225 which is an analog port with only a loud bell attached.... no ring.

Then I built a ring group with 4515 and 4506... no ring.

Then I tried to copy 4506 line appearances to 4515.. Merlin won't allow.

Then I tried to program 801 ( Main DID??) on 4515..Merlin won't allow.

I've dont this simple task dozens of times before...What am I missing?? I feel like an idiot!
