Need Database Instructions

Hello to all.
I have designed a web site and i need to add some database functionallity.What Database do i choose?I need to store bitmaps or jpg and then the web page retrieve the additional information from the database and show the photo.What database shall i choose ?How can i make an administrative application to upload and add the new photos to my web site?Can you help me with this Case study?How can i upload then the database and make it work?What are the implementation files that i need?
I need instructions and free code if it is available.

WOW, that is a lot of questions at one time.

MSQL is a good database that many Coldfusion Hosts have available and can be used for images as a "Blob" or "image" data type. However it will be recommended that the Database should store the location of image rather the image itself.(thats another debate).

CFFile is a tag to look up for the file upload process or there are image processing or upload scripts that if search for can be found and easycfm.com is a good place to start.
