I am just an accountant user of ACCPAC for Windows. I use Seagate Crystal Report to write simple reports.

One such report is an Analysis of GL Posting Data. The selection parameters are: From_FiscalYear, To_FiscalPeriod, From_FiscalPeriod, To_Fiscal Period.

How can I run this CR from ACCPAC for Windows directly?
If this cannot be done, how about VB codes?
You see, my subordinates does not know Crystal Rpt at all and I need to share the report with them.

Any help appreciated.

Hi,

If you load Crystal on the server or each workstation you can create a shortcut on thier desktop to the report. Then it's just a case of opening the shortcut and selecting the parameters (dates).

What version of CR are you using, is it v7?
Have you tried the compile feature? Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting

Yes, I'm using CR 7.0

How do I compile a report?
I can't find any button for Compiling, even though the supplementary toggle tool button is pressed.

In most versions of CR it is at the bottom of the report menu. However, if you have an OEM version of Crystal (special for AccPac) it might not be included. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting

Right-click on the ACCPAC desktop where you want to put the shortcut for this report and just follow the wizard. This must be done on each user's desktop or for the profile (if you use profiles).

This will create a shortcut that the user will use to input the parameter(s) and print the report.
