I am trying to connect a Cisco 2600 PIX and a Cisco 1721 router together for added translations. Can anyone tell me the correct cable pin out to connect the 2600 ethernet out to the 1721 Ethernet) input.

I have already tried a standard cable and a crosssover cable but I cannot ping the 2600 from the 1721 so I am assuming the cabling is wrong.

Thanks

Yes I tried the regulation cross over cable is there a specific cable pinout for Cisco between 2 of their devices?

Are both interfaces showing UP, UP.. If so it may not be a cabling issue.
