I have an Avaya G3SI with dual SPE's. The SPE-A processor went bad a short time ago and we replaced it, however, the system switched to the SPE-B. Now, the system is having licensing issues, as it appears to be looking for the old processor in SPE A that is no longer there.

We only have a CUST level login for the system, so most of the more advanced commands regarding SPE's and licensing are not present. We have to make do with what we have, which isn't much. It's a G3s1, version 10 and it only has one flashcard in the Netcon in Carrier A.

So, how can we manually, and safely, get this system back to the SPE A so that it can re-write its licensing file? I would greatly appreciate any saged advice.

You system is licensed as g3siv10 with duplicated processor. Each processor board has a serial number which is saved
along with the license to your flash card in each SPE. That being said, you must replace your bad processor board and then get a Business Partner or Avaya to update the serial number for the replacement tn2402 in Avaya's RFA (Remote Feature Activation) database, then download a new license from RFA to install in your pbx.

Since you are g3siv10, you will probably need a patch installed so call processing and blocking administration does not
occur due to the license error.
