Need a layout similar to this one

I hired a designer to make the template for my site

but it doesn't work on most browsers and on any small resolutions.

I've been looking high and low for a similar free template online but I haven't found any.

I NEED a slot on the left and right of the main section to place ads and my chatterbox in and it should span 100% of the screen.

It doesn't have to be exactly like this one but it needs the columns and a small header bar/top section which isnt built INTO the template so it can be changed.

Anyone know of any? I really need to change my template!

I don't know of any free templates, but you can achieve cross-browser compatibility and W3C compliance with nested tables or CSS positioning.

How familiar are you with HTML?
