When we place a call and the other party does not accept blocked numbers it prompts to hang up and dial *82 then the number is unlocked and the call gos through. What do I need to do to make this work the Definity keeps giving ema wave off tone when dialed.
If you had direct trunk access you could use the *82
You might also be able to do it with insert digits, But I don't think you will be able to set it up to do it automaticly when the other end rejects the call.
You could set up ARS Analysis for *82 which would route the calls over a different route pattern using trunks that don't block ANI. You would have to get these trunks configured for this purpose.
If you unblocked ANI on all trunks you could then insert the blocking digits when you don't want to send ANI. This would give you more control.
You can setup any digit string to use ARS to route the calls over CLI enabled trunks. We use 161 to replace the 9 and it works a treat John

Do you have ISDN lines, or standard CO's. There's a Feature Access Code for CALLER ID BLOCK and CALLER ID UNBLOCK. IN the Trunk Setup Form (if its a CO), I'm pretty sure there's a section on what feature code is used to hide caller id and release the block.
I'll have to confirm this tomorrow morning when I get back to a PBX, but its possible I'm thinking of the Nortel Option-series.
Something has to be done on the trunk group screen also, to tell the PBX what the Call Block ID Feature Code is to the Central Office, So that when you dial the Feature Access Code on the PBX to activate this feature, it in turn sends/inserts *67 or *82 to the Central Office as part of the dialed string. I looked at the screen real quick and wasn't able to locate it, maybe some can elaborate more.
