NEC XN120 running (with external MOH unit) via a UPS, when mains failed,
Eventually the UPS died also.
After power restoration, one NEC System phone (XN120 Talk, there are 3 on system) happily playing the MOH muzak through its' loudspeaker. Pick up handset, music stops and normal dial tone; all other line funtions and call handling working fine on phone. Powered down NEC and re-powered - still same problem. Swapped System phone to another extension, no MOH. Concluded problem with the extension port.
Programed OFF external MOH. In theory this should disconect the external MOH audio and play NEX120's own MOH, however still external MOH thro the phones' speaker. In the end I pulled power on MOH unit to get some silence!
Anyone have any ideas to problem??
