Good evening,
I posted a few weeks ago with some issues with the NEC Topaz XN120 Auto Attendant not working. I received a response to point me in the direction of testing whether the Auto Attendant messages are present. Since then, I've confirmed that the messages are present, and I've also done some further looking in to the problem.
I've used the PCPro XN120 software to download the config from the NEC unit. Looking through the config, all of the setup appears to be in-tact. The Day/Night mode assignments are present, the Auto Attendant Message Assignments are present along with the key press options and the extensions that the key press options go to. The Trunk No. 1 is set to always go direct to VRS/Auto Attendant.
However, when you call in from outside, there is simply no Auto Attendant. You initially get a normal ringing tone which lasts for three rings. It then changes to a very fast two-tone which lasts for 5 seconds. After that, it starts a normal, but longer, ringing tone and when this occurs, the reception/system phone is ringing and the call can be answered as normal.
We haven't powered the system off and on again as yet. Is it worth a try? The various parts of the system appear to be working on the grounds that I can get the config, and the messages on the VRS/Auto Attendant card can be played back.
Any further assistance on this will be very much appreciated.
Thank you all
